Childhood trauma is a difficult topic I occasionally explore on this blog. As a society, we often avoid discussing painful issues like family separation, abuse, and neglect. However, addressing these topics is crucial for healing and growth. That's why I created and produced All Connected: A Place for Belonging—to offer a space where children and families can learn, connect, and hopefully find the courage to talk, heal, and thrive together.
As a mother who has witnessed the long-lasting effects of childhood trauma, and alongside many dedicated leaders, we developed this free mental health YouTube series with the hope of helping others heal. This animated series provides a safe space for anyone who has experienced trauma, offering both understanding and support.
Through short, simple episodes, the series delves into how trauma impacts the brain and our relationships, and how we can rebuild ourselves through healthy coping mechanisms and strong, positive support systems. It’s completely free because I believe everyone deserves a place to belong and the tools to heal. This is my way of sharing what I’ve learned and offering a helping hand to those on their own healing journey.From the moment we’re in the womb to when we step out into the world, we are deeply connected to our parents—carrying not only their love but also their unresolved trauma. How they navigate the world and respond to us shapes our own experiences and how we engage with the world around us.
